Girl in MedTech was founded on a simple but powerful truth: when women thrive in MedTech, patients everywhere benefit. We are a global platform for every woman in medical technology, with a particular commitment to amplifying those whose voices have historically gone unheard, including women of colour, women from the Global South, and women navigating systems not designed for them.

The Founder's Story
She Walked Into the Room. Then She Changed It.
Chengetai built her career at the highest level of global medical technology, leading supplier quality roles at one of the world's top ten medical device companies, with responsibility spanning operations across Ireland, the UK, the USA, and Europe. She knows what it means to navigate complex global systems, to operate across borders and regulatory environments, and to deliver results in an industry where the stakes are human lives.
But she also knows what it means to be the only woman in the room, to carry the invisible weight of being underrepresented, not just by gender, but by background. And she knows how much harder it becomes when no one around you reflects your experience. So often, brilliant women leave, stay silent, or never enter at all, not because they lack capability, but because they lack community.
Girl in MedTech was her answer to that. A global infrastructure for every woman who deserves to thrive in this industry, beginning with those who have always had to fight hardest to be seen: women of colour, women from communities underrepresented in science and technology, and women navigating systems built before they arrived.
Today, GIM reaches women across 20+ countries and growing. It is a community, a mentorship network, a speaker platform, and a growing movement. This is Chengetai's story. And she is here to help you write yours.
